Types of gift card to cash kiosk
Gift cards are often divided according to the type of information carrier and are of four types:
1. gift card to cash kiosk with magnetic stripe. The most common cards, as their production is the most expensive. All data on the face value of the card, the store that issued it, the terms of the action, etc., are contained only on the magnetic strip, which unfortunately also reduces the protection of the card against counterfeits.
2. gift card to cash kiosk with a bar code. Another popular type of Gift Card, which does not have a magnetic strip, but is provided with a conventional bar code containing all the information for reading by checking devices.
3. gift card to cash kiosk with embossing. On such gift cards, information is extruded using embossing technology, i.e. a relief layer is formed on the map containing the number, expiration date, denomination, etc.
4. Combined cards. This type of gift card to cash kiosk is the most expensive to manufacture, reliable and presentable, therefore, most often, the combined cards make stores with high profits. This is not only a manifestation of concern for their customers, but also real support for the company brand, since it is a pleasure to hold the card in hand and, of course, to give to friends and acquaintances.
In the combined maps, all possible data storage technologies are used: magnetic stripe, barcode and embossing. For example, on the cards of popular electronics stores you can often find extruded card numbers, while it is equipped with a magnetic stripe and a bar code.
Another option for the classification of gift card to cash kiosk is by type of end user. Such cards can be individual, that is, intended for use by a specific person (individual), and corporate – printed specifically for employees of any organization (legal entity).
